I’m curious how other women handle this.
Let’s say you matched with a guy on a dating app and agreed to meet for coffee. It’s your first time meeting in person, and after 20–30 minutes you realize there’s just no chemistry. He’s perfectly nice, but you already know you don’t see it going anywhere romantically.
Do you usually:
- Stay until the coffee is finished and then leave?
- Make up an excuse to leave early?
- Be honest and say you’re not feeling the connection?
I’m still pretty new to dating apps, so I honestly don’t know what the “normal” thing is.
I don’t want to waste either person’s time, but I also don’t want to come across as rude or hurt someone’s feelings.
How do you usually end the conversation? And if you’ve had someone end a date early with you, what approach felt the most respectful?
